What is a head shot?

The head shot is the actor’s business card. The one dimensional 8×10 should reveal the essence of who you are. Your head shots should leave the casting director, producer and director with an immediate feeling of who you are and what your essence is.

There is never a “one size fits all” shot. An actor needs a number of looks to go along with what they are auditioning for. A consultation is best. Whether meeting in person or communicating across country by email, phone or facebook. A great conversation is key to the successful shoot.
